Glory

Wow! What an impressive Saturday night! Sorry so late for the post, I have been a little under the weather - that may have something to do with how hard I celebrated Saturday night...

As for the game - helluva game plan! Beat tech at their own game and do not let our quarterback lose the game. Whoever came up with that idea - genius!

Watching the Ealey and King tandem was special. For the first time I watched King run with a chip on his shoulder, for the first time it looked like the game and results meant something. With that said, we have already seen that side of Ealey, he has that attitude on every run. You can tell he isn't going to take any jive from anyone. Washaun taunting the tech student section, I'm still smiling about that!

This is what Washaun said after the game - "We had some holes open up early and it didn't take us long to see that they really didn't want to tackle us."

How about the attitude from these guys from the beginning? Both backs knew they were going to pound the ball, they knew the game plan was going to involve them heavily. King had "I run this state" written in silver marker down his arms. Ealey had it written on his glare stickers.

Paul Johnson talking after the game trying to down play the game. If the game doesn't mean much you don't make rings for winning the year before. You also don't strategically take the week off before the game if you don't care about winning.

I will say that CPJ did admit that we were unstoppable. I think that was more of his way of blaming it on his DC but still, he said it.

If you didn't see him, here's Russ, the "fill in" UGA below...

Now that the season is over, minus our bowl game, the buzz is on what CMR & Co are going to do about the coaching staff. I can say this, nothing has changed really. I checked sources ALL day yesterday - nothing...
Rumors are spreading like wildfire but nothing solid has been said.

I did get a good laugh yesterday at a guy who said he was at the airport in Tuscaloosa waiting to see if CMR would show up. Now that is dedicated. I am pretty sure if Georgia is going to make a run at Kirby Smart, it will at least be after the SEC Champ game; that is my opinion though.

And finally, The Tuberville rumors are insane. Everyone is thinking that the Tubs is coming in, now I know people lie just to cover up what is going on until the truth comes out, But this morning on the radio, Tommy specifically said he would not be interested in a DC job. He wants to be a head coach.

**One more major rumor that probably has some truth to it. Louisville fired its coach and word is that they have been talking with Charlie Strong the defensive coordinator for Florida. Charlie Strong is an awesome coach, that's great news for him if this is true. I'm sure a lot if SEC schools will be happy if the hire turns out.

This could force Georgia to make an early decision on coaching changes though. If Strong leaves, that will put Georgia and Florida in the DC hunt at the same time, possibly a position Georgia does not want to be in.

If you haven't seen or heard the "wired" version of Stafford during the Browns game check it out.

If you missed the hit from the LSU vs Arkansas game. Check it out.

Florida will most likely be without their star DE for the SEC Championship game. Carlos Dunlap was charged with a DUI.

Rumors I've heard is that CWM will not be fired anymore because he coached so well at the end of the season.

Matter of fact on Rivals it said that CWM is out on a recruiting trip for the next few days.

You can't keep your job by coaching a few good games. You get blown out by Tennessee and Florida, it's not okay!

I don't think Georgia is getting a new defensive coordinator either. I think we continue with CWM and in the coming year this will cost Richt his job...

I think it will take more than Dunlap to be out for Florida to lose this game.

Tim "Jesus" Tebow will prevail over Nick "Satan" Saban.

Jonathon, do you have any idea who ND will target in their search?

I'm not exactly sure who ND is targeting at this point. It was said that they immediately showed interest in Bob Stoops.

Logic points to them probably feeling out for Urban Meyer. From there I would think the next step would be Brian Kelly from Cincy.

If that doesn't pan out they should look at the Boise State head coach and the TCU head coach.

Also one to watch out for might be Lou Holtz's son. He's done a nice job at East Carolina, however I think the ND job may be too big for him at this point.

You can track it yourself on this website if you like...

F*CK tech!!

UGAs dead said...

Tech should have won the game on Saturday. The refs were full of shit and we should have scored on the last drive. Plus yall couldn't even pass on offense, Jo Cox IS that bad and we owned the passing defense.

The dogs are sinking further and further to the bottom. I say move Tech to the SEC and georgia to the ACC!!

dogs got a lucky win, we dominated!

Tech ACC champions!

UGA NATION Blog said...

Sure. We got lucky - let's take a look at the stats.

Georgia 21 first downs to techs 17
Georgia 415 yards to techs 340
Georgia TOP 30:03 to 29:57

Isn't tech the all mighty rushing team and clock eater??

Georgia rush yards <339> to techs 205

Bottom line is that tech got smoked at their own game. I know it hurts but it's true.

And please don't post comments and say tech "should" do this and that, they didn't and that's why they lost. Talk about Cox and UGA all you like. We didn't need Cox to win, our backs ran every inch of your field.

Next time you want to comment I suggest showing up with more ammo.

Don't forget, FSU and probably the trade school are also in the market for a DC.
