Embarrassing

A few things on my mind after the loss to Kentucky.

Is Kentucky really that good at kick returns? You would have thought Deion was back there the way we avoided kicking off. Is our kick coverage that bad? Can we not field athletes to handle Kentucky??

I have stood behind CMR with everything. I will question what is going on. How is it that "the best position to win" is Joe Cox? Is our recruiting that far off? How does an "offensive genius" in Richt not know that Joe Cox is this bad? How do we not have a backup quarterback? Logan Gray cannot play, no one has prepared him. WHAT are the offensive coaches doing? It is so embarrassing to know that we recruit solid classes year in and year out but I will be damned if we have a QB. Joe Cox single handedly lost this game - It's just embarrassing.

One question you might need to ask yourself when thinking about the future of Georgia football. Let's say Georgia does get things back together and starts putting together solid teams again.

Will they be able to beat Florida?
Why would we think yes? Don't tell me you are going to bring up 2007? Sure we can, we won, but Florida lost 4 games that year. So we beat them on their down year. Maybe that's what we can look forward to, just beating Florida when they are down. They have slaughtered us the last two.

Can we compete with Alabama now that Saban is there? Can you honestly say that Richt and the Dawgs are prepared better, coached better, confident enough to beat Alabama? Does Georgia field a team that pays attention to every single detail like Alabama?

What makes Alabama special to me? They always play to their strengths and nothing more. They protect their quarterback.

Does this sound like protecting your bone-head quarterback or playing to your strengths?? Your team is down a touchdown, you have rushed for 196 yards in the game so far (196 yards!!!), you have 48 yards to get in the end zone but we are still passing.
Of course you know what happens next...Cox throws a cupcake straight to the Kentucky lineman.

That kind of play call is shocking - wtf is going on? OR how about the toss play at the goal line? You shouldn't be tossing it at the goal line?? You run the football straight down their throat! The play call should have been a Cox sneak or a handoff to the FB. We had two downs to go 1-yard - we toss the football...embarrassing.

What are your thoughts?

Georgia has Joe Cox.
Georgia still continues to commit stupid penalties.
The play calling is heinous game in and game out.
#3 continues to play - need I say more?
We have no backup quarterback; it's either Cox or a true freshman.
Tennessee is out recruiting us.
Georgia Tech is by far the best football team in the state of Georgia.

I have no idea why we stopped running the ball.

I guess Fabris has convinced Bobo to challenge himself.

I didn't know a football program could fall apart this fast!

The crazy thing about it is that Richt has no sense of urgency about the whole damn thing!!

It seems as if he is sitting back, just watching it happen, I don't get it??

What I can't believe is that we finally get a game that the defense is playing great and then our offense blows the game.

We continued to complain about Martinez, he gets it done this game, and now the offese and JOE COX find a way to ruin it!!

I am not sure who was more confused on Saturday, Joe Cox or Les Miles??

I hate to say it but it might be time to clean house.

Everyone wants to blame the coaches...maybe it's our own head coach.

Mark Richt told us we needed a 5th year senior at QB to have the best chance for winning. He also told us that our kick coverage was bad because we play a lot of young players there.

Let me suggest that we put our 5th year OB on the kick coverage team and put our young players at OB.

I agree with the blogger and all the comments.

First, kick the damn ball in the endzone. Our kick coverage team stinks and they cannot tackle anyone inside the 20 yrd line.

Second, the offensive play calling sucks. Bobo loves the draw. That is probably the worst running play in football, and we always run it on 3rd down with 7 or more yards to go. That is just giving up.

Lastly, the defense played better this week, but one week does not replace the whole year (and past years performances). Our defense has given up more touchdowns than any other SEC team this year. That is f***ing horrible.

CMR needs to fire Bobo and Martinez. If not, the whole staff will be gone within a year or two. 6 and 6, that's what we'll be this year and years to come unless we change.

Just remember... THANK GOD that #3, #23, and #14 will never play in Athens again. And bowls... we don't deserve to go to a bowl this year, 6 and 6 may just make that a reality.

I agree that we need to fire the DC and OC. Some even suggest cleaning house, starting with CMR. Something to consider... Now please tell me who you want as your new DC and OC, then tell me who your new head coach is.

I agree with alot of the comments !! Tough year for us, LOTS of questions and NO answers from the Coaching staff yet. Sucks a big one. I was 8 rows back from the hedges saturday and it was disqusting to see us loose that football game. Alot of upset fans.Lord help us saturday in Bobby Dodd!!

First off - I can almost guarantee that Bobo will be calling plays next year. I do not think you will see any offensive changes unless CSS leaves for another job.

As far as the defense - I have no idea who they will hire? I think that Georgia needs to go hire someone proven.

I also believe that if this hire doesn't work in ONE year, ONE year, Richt will be forced to leave. There is no patience with this program, either Georgia turns it around next year or they will clean house.

I am saying this not because I want it to happen, I just really believe that. I have heard some disturbing things lately about all of the issues behind the scenes and I don't for one second think that D Evans is going to deal with a bunch of complaining coaches. It seems as if this season has torn the entire staff a part. It's one thing for kids to point fingers but when the coaches do, unacceptable...
